The BF Goodrich Baja T/A is probably one of the most indestructable tires that BFG makes. Its combination of off-road handling and on-road manners make it a great choice for an all-purpose tire.
They prove their toughness off road with very high puncture resistence, excellent handling in loose dirt, sand, and light mud. Although not as good in mud as a mud terrain, they've proved their worth time and time again in the looser stuff. These tires also have extreme puncture resistence with a six-ply nylon sidewall.
The Baja T/A performs well on the street as well. A wide center rib ensures stability, even at high speeds. It has a "D" load rating and a 124MPH speed rating, which is significantly higher than its competitors.
One downside of the tire's nylon sidewall construction is the tendency for the tire to have flat spots when it has been siting for a period of time in cooler temperatures. If you live in a colder climate, this tire may not be a good choice for you in this case.
Overall, this is a great tire for those who are looking for an all-around good performing tire. Even though a bit pricey, the quality and sheer strength of this tire makes it a worthwhile investment.
